Remote control functionality will be on display alongside 10 of the newest and best-performing septic trucks and slide-in tanks from Imperial

WAUSAU, Wis. — Feb. 20, 2017 — Each year tens of thousands of professionals in the commercial waste industry converge for the annual Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment and Transport (WWETT) Show in search of the latest, greatest ideas and technology. This year, Imperial Industries will be debuting one of the top new innovations: a fully remote-controlled vacuum system, designed to help operators dramatically cut the time they spend on the job site.

The remote control system will debut on Imperial’s 4,000-gallon aluminum tank, mounted on a 2018 International truck body equipped with an NVE4307 blower. Functionality will include full control of the tank’s PTO and pneumatic valves, providing operators with the ability to switch between vacuum, neutral and pressure modes without ever leaving a septic tank’s access point.

“It’s going to be a huge timesaver, and in this line of work, time is money,” said Kurt Mannel, vice president of Imperial Industries. “Plus, by eliminating the need for operators to run to and from their truck several times during a single site visit, we’ll be doubling down on safety, helping them protect against potential accidents near tank access covers.”

The new remote system is now available to be installed on any of Imperial’s stock service truck units, and may also be added to truck and tank combinations that are custom-fit to an operator’s needs. For attendees of the WWETT Show, Imperial will offer fast on-site financing, making it easier than ever to pick up a new truck. In addition to the new remote system, Imperial will be showcasing a wide array of tanks, trucks and slide-in units at the WWETT Show, including:
